Mazda CX-30 Sales Figures

Mazda CX-30

The Mazda CX-30 is a compact crossover SUV that was first introduced in 2019. It is a smaller and more stylish alternative to the Mazda CX-5. The CX-30 is available with two engine options: a 2.5L Skyactiv-G four-cylinder engine that produces 187 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque, and a turbocharged 2.5L Skyactiv-G engine that produces 250 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque. Both engines are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The CX-30 is available in front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive configurations. It has a maximum cargo capacity of 20.2 cubic feet, 45.2 cubic feet with the rear seats folded. The CX-30 comes standard with a long list of features, including an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a six-speaker sound system, and a rearview camera. Available features include a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10-speaker Bose sound system, and a sunroof.

Mazda CX-30 Overview

The Mazda CX-30 is a subcompact crossover SUV introduced by Mazda, fitting into their lineup between the smaller Mazda CX-3 and the larger Mazda CX-5. Since its introduction, the CX-30 has been noted for its upscale design, premium-feeling interior, and driving dynamics that are characteristic of Mazda vehicles. The Mazda CX-30 was unveiled at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show and was subsequently launched as a 2020 model. It was introduced to address the demand for compact SUVs and to offer an option that sits between the CX-3 and CX-5 in terms of size and features.

Like other modern Mazdas, the CX-30 embraces the “Kodo: Soul of Motion” design language. This results in a sleek, flowing aesthetic with minimalist lines and a distinct, recognizable front fascia. The vehicle features a slightly elevated ground clearance, giving it a poised stance, but it’s not as high as more off-road-focused SUVs.

The Mazda CX-30 has been offered with various engine options, including Mazda’s innovative SkyActiv-X, which combines characteristics of both gasoline and diesel engines for improved efficiency and performance. In line with Mazda’s emphasis on driving pleasure, the CX-30 is praised for its nimble handling and responsive feel, making it a standout in its segment in terms of driving dynamics. The CX-30’s interior is one of its strong points, frequently drawing comparisons to more upscale brands because of its material quality and design. The vehicle comes equipped with Mazda’s latest infotainment system, which includes a rotary controller for ease of use.

Mazda CX-30 Sales Figures

Since its introduction, the Mazda CX-30 has received positive reviews for its blend of style, comfort, driving dynamics, and value. It effectively bridges the gap between the more urban-focused CX-3 and the family-oriented CX-5. The CX-30 has a broad appeal and is sold in many markets worldwide. Its specifications and features may vary slightly depending on the region.

Mazda CX-30 China Sales Data & Charts

The Mazda CX-30 is Mazda’s fourth domestically produced crossover after the best selling and China-only coupe crossover CX-4, the worlwide bestseller CX-5 and the large CX-8. With the similarly sized CX-4 in high demand and the smaller CX-3 only imported and therefore overpriced, the CX-30 is positioned as Mazda’s entry-level crossover, and it shows in the interior where it doesn’t even have a touch screen (which some Chinese brands offer on their sub-US$10,000 cars). Prices are indeed sharp, ranging from 129.900 (€ 16.400,- / US$18,400)  to 171.900 yuan (€ 21.600,- / US$24,300), which is in line with rivals like the Honda Vezel (127.900-175.900 yuan), Toyota Izoa (141.800-180.800 yuan) and Volkswagen T-Roc (135.800-203.800 yuan).
