The Impreza WRX and Impreza WRX STi used to be sporty versions of the Subaru Impreza, but in 2014 Subaru dropped the Impreza name and started calling them simply Subaru WRX and Subaru WRX STi when the 2015 Model Year was launched. The WRX and WRX STi also departed from the regular models in styling, with the same general profile than the Impreza, and the same front doors, trunk lid and interior, but a distinguished front end bodywork and the rear quarter panels unique to the WRX and STi.
