The Full-size Cargo Van segment grew steadily in Q3 2015, with sales growing by 11% compared to the same period last year, slightly faster than they did in the first half of the year.
The Ford Transit continues to be the standout success in the segment, although the extent of its dominance seems to have shrunk a bit – in the first half of the year it outsold the 2nd-placed model by more than 2-to-1, while over Q1-Q3 the ratio fell below that
The “old guard” models (Chevy Express, Ford E-Series, GMC Savana) keep losing customers quickly, and unless GM comes with a new model soon the Express may be outsold by both the MB Sprinter and Ram Promaster by mid-2016
The Ram Promaster (currently 5th) actually outsold the MB Sprinter (currently 4th) in Q3 2015 – with barely over 1,000 units between them, it’ll be interesting to see which one ends the year on top
