Mazda CX-50 Sales Figures

Mazda CX-50

The Mazda CX-50 is comfortable, spacious and well appointed, with an interior that looks and feels a cut above anything else in this class. It’s quick and fun to drive, too, though somewhat heavy steering and a firmer ride than some rivals are the price you pay for the engaging handling. The CX-50 commands a bit of a premium, too, but if you’re looking for a small utility vehicle, it doesn’t get much better than this.

Mazda CX-50 Overview

The Mazda CX-50 is a compact crossover SUV that was introduced in 2022. It is based on the same platform as the Mazda3 and CX-30, but it has a more rugged exterior design and is aimed at buyers who want an SUV that can handle light off-road driving.

The CX-50 is available with two engine options: a 2.5L naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine that produces 187 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque, and a 2.5L turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 256 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque. Both engines are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The CX-50 is available in front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive configurations. It has a raised suspension and standard all-terrain tires, which give it better off-road capability than the CX-5. The CX-50 comes standard with a long list of features, including a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a six-speaker sound system, and a rearview camera. Available features include a 10-speaker Bose sound system, a panoramic sunroof, and a head-up display.

The CX-50 has been praised for its stylish design, comfortable ride, and capable off-road performance. It has also been awarded several awards, including the 2023 MotorTrend SUV of the Year. The starting MSRP for the 2023 Mazda CX-50 is $26,750.
