Following our snap poll last week on which of the VAG crossovers our readers preferred, this week I thought we’d jump off from the debut of the newly crossover-ized Peugeot 5008 and ask our reader the question: which of the French family chariots do you prefer?

Which of the French family cars do you prefer?

  • Citroën C4 Picasso: the honest compact MPV done right (28%, 61 Votes)
  • Peugeot 3008/5008: the faux-roader (27%, 60 Votes)
  • Renault Scenic: the MPV masquarading as a faux-roader (27%, 59 Votes)
  • Renault Kadjar: the "proper" crossover (18%, 39 Votes)

Total Voters: 219

  1. What makes the 3008/5008 a “faux-roader”? The vast majority of owners of SUVs never go off-road. Peugeot offers Grip Control so when someone wants to get muddy or goes skiing they can. If your biased as a writer at least give the reader some explanation instead of only loose words.

I voted for the Kadjar. Very complete crossover with a nice design. The Scenic is the best looking car in my opinion. Renault proves an MPV doesn’t have to look dull.

  2. Why do you call the 3008/5008 the faux-roader?
Just because they don’t offer AWD as an option. Newsflash: barely any of the crossovers on the street nowadays have AWD.

  3. I can tell which french car I prefer IF…….you inform their prices and if they are Automatic or Mechanical
    I would pay more for a better design? YES ! … BUT …..just 12- 20% more, ¿for an automatic? ….YES ! 15- 20% more

  4. Otherwise your question should be “considering only the beauty of design, ¿which french car looks better to you?

  5. I don’t like Kadjar. It is quite good looking (not interior) but cheap build and with very small engines-range. I know that this is Quashqai sibling but still… way behind Tiguan for example (Nissan is also crap – my opinion).

But C4 Picasso is simply genious! Ernogomy, technology, style, space, quality! I think it has no serious competitor in it’s own class.
