Here you will find annual car sales figures for Latvia. These statistics are Total Market Volumes, which include passenger cars as well as light commercial vehicles (LCVs).
Since the early 2000s, the Latvian car market has fluctuated between 5.500 and 37.000 annual sales. After years of rapid growth, the market peaked in 2007 at over 36.000 sales before declining by almost 84% in the next two years, to a low just under 5.900 sales. In 2011 car sales in Latvia rebounded with an 84% increase and the recovery continued with only one year of slight declines between 2010 and 2019. Still, Latvian car sales are at just over half the peak level. In recent years, LCV sales have typically made up 16% of total car sales in Latvia, but their share was below 10% from 2005 to 2010 and around 12% in recent years.
