Here you will find annual car sales figures for France. These statistics are Total Market Volumes, which include passenger cars as well as light commercial vehicles (LCVs).

Since the late 1990s, the French car market has fluctuated between 2 million and 2.7 million sales, peaking in 2009 at over 2.6 million units before starting a 4-year long decline to its lowest volume since 1997 in the aftermath of the global financial crisis. The biggest hit came in 2012 with a decline of 13,3%. Since 2014 the market has been growing at a steady pace with five consecutive years of small improvements, to hit a peak of nearly 2,7 million cars in 2019. LCV sales typically make up around 16,5% of total car sales in France.
