The first generation VW New Beetle was sold from 1998-2010, the second generation, sold from 2011 onwards, was called just VW Beetle. These statistics include sales of both generations. Sales of the Beetle Convertible have been very stable from its launch in 2013 to 2017, while sales of the Beetle Coupe have fallen sharply since (see table below).
