Toyota Aygo Sales Figures

Toyota Aygo

Monthly and annual sales figures for the Toyota Aygo in Europe. The Toyota Aygo is a city car produced jointly by Toyota, Peugeot, and Citroën. Introduced in 2005, the Aygo was developed as part of a collaborative project between the three manufacturers. As a result, it shares many components and the overall platform with the Citroën C1 and the Peugeot 107 (later the Peugeot 108). Aimed primarily at the European market, the Aygo was positioned as an affordable, compact, and stylish option for urban commuters. The Aygo was replaced in 2022 by the Toyota Aygo X.

Toyota Aygo Overview

The Toyota Aygo is a city car that was first introduced in 2005. It is a five-door hatchback that is available in three trim levels: Pure, Edge, and X-Cite. While the basic platform and many components were shared with its Peugeot and Citroën siblings, the Aygo had distinct styling elements, particularly at the front, to differentiate it from the others.

The Aygo is powered by a 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine that produces 71 horsepower and 69 lb-ft of torque. It is available with a choice of manual or automatic transmissions. The Aygo is known for its fuel efficiency and its maneuverability. It is also a good value for money, as it is priced lower than many of its rivals. The Aygo was facelifted in 2014 and again in 2018. The latest Aygo is based on the same platform as the Citroen C1 and the Peugeot 108.

The Aygo is one of Toyota’s entry-level offerings in Europe, targeting buyers who prioritize affordability, compact size, and low running costs. It’s especially suitable for crowded urban environments thanks to its nimble size.
