The Polestar 2 is the second model from Polestar, the EV brand of Volvo and its parent company Geely, since it become standalone brand in 2017. Production of the plug-in hybrid luxury coupe started in Luqiao, China in 2020.

The five-door fastback is aimed directly at the Tesla Model 3, but its 4.6 meters length makes it the smallest midsized model. In fact, its size puts it more in the compact car segment. It’s powered by two 150kW electric motors, one per axle for all-wheel drive. The liquid cooled battery has 78kWh capacity which should give it a 500km range according to the WLTP testing cycle (275 miles EPA).
