The Polestar 1 is the first model from Polestar, the EV brand of Volvo and its parent company Geely, since it become standalone brand in 2017. Production of the plug-in hybrid luxury coupe started in Chengdu, China in 2020. Production is limited to 1,500 units, all left-hand drive.

It has a 2-liter turbocharged gasoline engine in the front powering the front wheels and two 116hp electric motors powering the rear wheels. Total power output is 600hp with 1000Nm of torque, which should give the Polestar 1 a 0-100 km/h time of 4.2 seconds.
