The Aston Martin DB11 was introduced in 2016 to replace the Aston Martin DB9. It’s not just the body construction of the DB11 is new but it also houses a new engine as well. It has a brand new 5.2-litre twin-turbocharged V12 engine which translates into 600 bhp (447 kW; 608 PS) and 516 lb·ft (700 N·m). The DB11 is also said to go 0-100km/h (62mph) in just 3.9 seconds and reach speeds of up to 322 km/h (200 mph). This is really incredible. Its V12 engine is connected via a torque tube to its DB11’s rear-mounted eight-speed transaxle which translate into a smoother transmission. The transmission itself feels like the from the ZF’s automatic transmission which is specifically tuned to cope with the car’s 700Nm torque output.
The DB11 is powered by a choice of powerful twin-turbocharged engines. Initially, it was introduced with a 5.2-liter V12 engine that produces around 600 horsepower and offers impressive acceleration and top speeds. Later on, Aston Martin introduced a more accessible variant called the DB11 V8, equipped with a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that still delivers thrilling performance. The DB11 comes with an 8-speed automatic transmission, delivering smooth and seamless gear changes for a refined driving experience. It features rear-wheel drive, which helps maintain the car’s sporty and engaging driving dynamics. Over the years, Aston Martin has introduced special editions and performance variants of the DB11, further enhancing its appeal to a wide range of customers. The Aston Martin DB11 was replaced in 2023 with the Aston Martin DB12.
