The ID.3 is Volkswagen’s third MEB model produced in China, after the ID.4 Crozz / ID.4X duo and the larger ID.6 Crozz / ID.6X duo, which are produced by the FAW-VW (Crozz versions) and SAIC-VW (X versions) joint ventures respectively. The ID.3 is produced by the SAIC-VW JV and has no clone yet from FAW-VW.

Volkswagen ID.3 Overview

The Volkswagen ID.3 is an all-electric hatchback produced by Volkswagen. It is the first model to be based on Volkswagen’s MEB platform, which is designed specifically for electric vehicles. The ID.3 is powered by a 58 kWh or 77 kWh battery pack that gives it a range of up to 260 miles. It is available with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The ID.3 has a spacious interior that can seat up to five people. It also has a large cargo space of 126 cubic feet with the rear seats folded down. The ID.3 is equipped with a standard 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also has a rearview camera and a multifunction steering wheel. The starting MSRP for the Volkswagen ID.3 is $31,190.
