The Hyundai i30 is a compact car produced by the South Korean manufacturer Hyundai since 2007. Positioned as a C-segment vehicle in Europe, the i30 is a crucial model for Hyundai in the European market and has seen success in various regions under different names. Hyundai i30 Overview

Launched in 2007, it was Hyundai’s ambitious attempt to penetrate the European compact market. Initially introduced as a five-door hatchback, later variants included a wagon (i30cw) and a three-door hatchback. It offered a range of gasoline and diesel engines. The second generation car (2012-2017) presented a more refined and stylish design that continued with hatchback, wagon, and later a three-door version called the i30 Turbo. Introduction of the performance variant known as the i30 N in 2017, marking Hyundai’s entry into the hot hatch segment. The third generation car came in 2017 and have us a more mature and modern design, featuring Hyundai’s cascading grille. The lineup includes the regular five-door hatchback, a wagon, the performance-focused i30 N, and a sleeker five-door “Fastback” variant.

It is currently in its fourth generation, which was introduced in 2020. The i30 is available with a choice of three engines: a 1.5L four-cylinder gasoline engine, a 1.6L diesel engine, and a 1.6L turbocharged gasoline engine. The gasoline engine produces 120 horsepower and 113 lb-ft of torque, the diesel engine produces 115 horsepower and 203 lb-ft of torque, and the turbocharged gasoline engine produces 150 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque. The i30 is available with a choice of two transmissions: a six-speed manual transmission and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The i30 is known for its fuel efficiency. The gasoline engine gets an EPA-estimated 32 mpg in the city and 40 mpg on the highway, the diesel engine gets an EPA-estimated 40 mpg in the city and 46 mpg on the highway, and the turbocharged gasoline engine gets an EPA-estimated 28 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway.

The i30 is also known for its safety features. It comes standard with a variety of features, including a forward collision warning system, a lane departure warning system, and a blind spot monitoring system.

The i30 is available in three trim levels: SE, SEL, and N Line. The SE trim is the base trim and comes standard with features like a 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a rearview camera, and six speakers. The SEL trim adds features like an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a blind spot monitoring system, and rear cross traffic alert. The N Line trim is the sporty trim and adds features like a sport-tuned suspension, a unique body kit, and 18-inch alloy wheels.
