Cos was launched in 2018 as a sub brand of Changan Auto as that company’s “affordable premium” brand, aimed mostly at buyers in China’s vast hinterland as those living in the large coastal cities are much more brand sensitive. Its first car is the Cos 1º (with a degree behind the 1), launched in July 2018, and its second model is the Cosmos MPV, launched in January 2019. The brand’s third and fourth models, the Kosai 5 and Kosai 3 are nothing more than rebadged models from Changan, though.
