Dodge

Dodge_Journey-US-car-sales-statisticsDodge is one of the four American brands by Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles and it is marketed with a bold and brawny image. The RAM trucks division was spun off from Dodge in 2010 and the brand has struggled to find its identity in the States, with vehicles like the family-oriented Grand Caravan minivan and the plain and awful rental-car Avenger, but in recent years Dodge seems to have refound its mojo. The Viper and the 707 hp Hellcat versions of the Charger and Challenger are testament to the “American muscle-car” image Dodge is aiming for. The brand is not marketed in large numbers outside of North America.

Currently all of Dodge’s models for the US market are produced in North America.

The Journey compact crossover is Dodge’s best selling model in the United States this year, while the Charger large car is the brand’s most popular sedan.

Please note: Dodge sales figures until 2007 include sales of the Dodge Dakota, Dodge Ram pick-up truck, Dodge Ram Cargo Van and Dodge Sprinter van, which were spun off to form a stand-alone RAM brand for commercial vehicles in 2008. This explains the sudden dip in sales volume from 2007 to 2008.
