Monthly and annual sales figures for the Fiat Tipo in Europe.
The Fiat Tipo is also called the Fiat Ægea in Turkey, where it is produced. Turkey will be one of the largest single markets for the sedan model, but these sales are not included in the European car sales data.
The Tipo sedan was introduced at the end of 2015 to replace the Fiat Linea. A hatchback and even a station wagon are planned for 2016 to replace the Fiat Bravo hatchback. However, because of continued struggles of Fiat in the European compact car segment the Tipo is positioned as an “entry-level” compact car, meaning budget pricing and technology as Fiat is trying to copy the success of Dacia in Europe.

You got numbers wrong for December. If you look at ACEA numbers for EU and EFTA numbers are somewhat bigger than reported here. At least 7871 Tipos for December.

Hi N.N.,
This list includes Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
The ACEA data also includes Bulgaria and Croatia, which explains the difference in data.
Russia and Turkey are excluded from both datasets.

This is the “essential car” from Fiat point of view like the Cactus was the Citroën proposal for the same connect: offering the best possible for the money.
It is offering more than low cost (Dacia or course) and if it is not as fully equipped as a Peugeot 308 or a Golf, it is far cheaper for a globally prestation not very far away from them.
A good bargain!
